I just got the change from the small-format camera in the DSLR league behind me and we will present the Olympus E-620 purchased with Double Zoom Kit. I decline to technical information here deliberately, since these are all already described.
As a newcomer, I am totally thrilled by the camera.
Even without a manual to get adjusted quickly to the basic functions. The subject programs facilitate the handling, good results can be reached quickly. Alternatively, of course, savvy users all the options in manual is available.
The whole thing fits into a truly compact body – a key reason to buy for me because I do not rumschleppen pounds of equipment with me wants. I use to transport the Slingshot 100 AW from Lowepro and thus quickly reach the camera without having to settle permanently the backpack. The camera fits comfortably in your hand, the lenses make a quality impression and the results have been convincing me very much. The camera is quick to deploy, thanks to the swivel monitor, you can create exceptional photos and views from the Future.
The only negative point so far is the included software (Olympus Master / Studio 2), although sufficient for basic tasks, but of course, is no substitute for a good image editing program.

I would recommend Olympus E-620 at any time.

At the beginning there was the euphoria. Finally, a handy, lightweight camera that I need to ski, mountain bike and was able to accompany tours without compromising on image quality to make. After recharging the battery and the usual settings (it lasted because of the tremendous volume of options) for longer than I thought I wanted to swing down on the wheel and firing a first series of photos. That led to the first problem: the lack of a suitable camera bag, which ensures a rapid operational readiness and protects. Olympus has made it no thought. (The “stylish Taschenbody CS-10B-on the safe transport” of anything except protecting the camera’s bottom can only be described as fashion gag.) So first of all pure in the secured against commuting his breast pocket, where else is accommodated my Nikon D40. After further tours and a holiday to the following conclusion:

1. Construction, Operation: Olympus PEN E-P1 makes a very solid, trivalent impression, even if the metal housing is only simulated. The main features are about something small buttons (on the back too poorly visible or less) satisfactory access. Disappointingly, only the On / Off button. The leaves when the sun is almost non-visible light once again the question remains open after the state seized the device is switched on but then a gentle press on the multi-selector and one’s wrong with ISO, timer ect. to pretend. Better to switch off these options in the area and change the camera settings on the Ribbon Menu clear. That is quite clearly visible in sunlight, because the only low-resolution screen is better than its reputation and the desire for electronic and optical viewfinder can not arise in the first.

2. Admission unfold: Lens, wait for power on, sensor cleaning, wait until the auto focus goes from near to infinity and back to the proper distance throwing. Anyone who has gone through this routine a few times, which is clear that it is in Olympus PEN E-P1 is not a snapshot camera, but requires patience. Of course you can do with some luck Vorfokussieren and sports photography, but for sure there is better equipment. When manually setting the magnifying glass feature is helpful, but what in the strong sun and not much help. Getting used to the distance setting by wire, especially as the smooth adjustment ring has no distance markings. Neither the Kitobjektiv, nor for the 17mm lens sun visors are available, which leads to increased light scattering (compare Nikon) in the pictures.

3. Image quality: On the there is not much to find fault. The lens is a good average, the image parameters can be adjusted in a manner that is usually reserved for professional cameras. If the pictures seem to 6400 ISO under certain circumstances, be acceptable, this is a sign that the Image Stabilizer-equipped with an internal camera for indoor and Schwachlichtsituationen is well endowed.

Conclusion: The Olympus E-P1 is a solid, handy camera, which relates what the image quality-even with the Kitobjektiv brings excellent results. Outdoor fans are not quite on their behalf, the camera is not weatherproof and not just quick to use, moreover, still lacks a sound-ready case.

I take pictures for several years already and I’ve gained a few months ago, Canon EOS 400D.
I must say, I am very critical when it comes to quality, and particularly the sharpness.

For this reason, I have renounced the Kitobjektiv and I acquired a 50mm f/1.8 fixed focal length of the first attempts. It was later followed a wide-angle and a telephoto lens.

Surely you’ve already negative reports about a lack of exposure, lack of focus or other quality characteristics, resulting in automatic mode, read.
With my previous digital camera I have only ever been photographed in RAW mode.
This is true for a digital SLR camera, in my opinion more than ever! Because it is up to you, such as high contrast, sharp and color the picture should be, in effect, at least if you want to have quality pictures up in the A3 format.
Of course, one can produce in automatic mode or in the subject programs appealing images. To do this, if they remember to try all the settings in the camera. But you should also be aware to live with some compromises. In appropriate fora are discussed sufficiently.

After more than 4000 pictures and some shooting in studio and outdoor area with Canon EOS 400D, I am convinced of the quality of this camera!
Playing in Creativity makes scary fun. Who wants to learn to shoot properly and understand the interplay between exposure, aperture and depth of field will, will be found not only in the camera is the ideal partner, but to get even with this creative and high quality pictures.
And if they can be developed mainly just 13×18 photos, you will forgive this size, thanks to the 10.1 megapixel sensor and even less sharp images, as it shows the 100% view.

About the EOS Integrated Cleaning System, I could not complain so far. Who care when changing lenses handle (for example, the opening is always down) believe that will get it done with little or almost no dust. The trade also offers some tools and materials to clean the sensor itself if necessary.

The viewfinder is quite sufficient for my needs. Anyone who has previously worked with compact cameras that can appreciate the difference. It is a blessing, the motive to target through the viewfinder when holding a camera at one meter distance from themselves and work towards bringing a subject on the display.
Speaking of display: Sunny and clear in direct sunlight, however, relatively difficult to detect. But the photos will be reviewed at home anyway. If you need more information on this image, you can always get the information about the histogram.

The precise 9-point autofocus, I’ve switched to the sole central junction box sensor. Which is much more precise and I set myself, to sit exactly where the sharpness.

If you have not previously photographed with large SLR cameras, then you will feel the greatness probably quite pleasant. It is not too big and too heavy. I have relatively large hands, and come to terms with the wonderful Body and operation. If desired, may be acquired by the battery grip to make the camera a little larger and easier to handle on this, apart from the longer holding term.

The battery life is very good. It holds about 350 pictures with me. Since I use an external flash unit with its own power supply, I have the number of images in about even with flash. On longer trips you should photo anyway always have a second battery there.

The sculpture of Teddy is certainly not so with high value, like an aluminum housing. But I was never disturbed, as I carefully with any camera Motodrone. For that I would not necessarily spend much more money.

On the included software, I can not say anything because I’m not using. I prefer to put a different software or RAW converter.

Conclusion: A successful all around digital SLR for beginners succeed with professional photos, the proper operation and a good lens provided.
The images from the camera should always be something on the PC if possible. (They are now the development lab!)

I would like to only describe my first impressions. The technical specifications shall be read elsewhere. I am an amateur and shoot for fun. Previously I had a EOS 400D and now want something new. I was looking for a good easy-to-use SLR with live view. I came to Sony DSLR-A380Y and was not disappointed. In the simple operation, compact menu, similar to the Sony. Focussing on LifeView is incredibly fast (for other brands like Nikon and Canon technical factors significantly) slower, and the resolution and brightness of the folding screen is completely inadequate. The viewfinder is somewhat small, but one is inclined to use mainly the Life View mode. The images have rich colors and excellent contrast with the supplied in the kit lens (SAL 18-55 and 55-200) a very good sharpness. Sony is on the noise performance at high ISO numbers gem?kelt. I’ve made in low light even at ISO 3200 still usable images. The noise is up to ISO 1600, but my impression is irrelevant and not to exercise them anyway.
The camera itself I find stylish outfits from her, she’s easy and you find yourself in the operation along without guidance immediately. The built-in camera image stabilization allows the use of expensive lenses, since they do not need a stabilizer.
After my first impressions of a light, uncomplicated and quick reflex camera, also ideal for snapshots. It provides images of very good quality, makes an impression valent and differs from the appearance in a pleasant way from the competition. The lack of video is possible for me no shortcoming dar.

First of all: I am not counting on each component, since these are already described above.
Olympus E-30 is a very good camera for amateur photographers, but also for semi-professionals.
You can use the camera between the E-3 and the e-lane 520, although they strongly tend towards E-3.
Olympus E-30 has 12.3 MP but still offers a good noise performance. It is even a bit sharper than the E-3. But in laboratory tests, the camera tends to be slightly red-stitch. In practice, I could not not figure it.
The biggest difference to the E-3 is that the E-30 is not completely waterproof and has no magnesium core. Nevertheless, the E-30 spritwassergesch?tzt.
The E-30 has many things inherited from its big brother the E-3. For example, the “fastest Autofokua the world” with 11 AF points and the swiveling display.
Of course, here are the type filters are even mentioned. I think that they are “only” a small gimmick. However, you can really have fun with them. The advantage which is that you can see the effect already in the LifeView mode and erparen one hand, the effect of filtering processing on the PC.
What little “gimmick” is I really like the leveling. Olympus has verabaut in the body of an electronic spirit level, the tendency in the x and y display area. At first I was very skeptical, but once tried changed the skepticism into enthusiasm. The scale is in any display (Olympus E-30 has a total of three, when the viewfinder with this one: display, viewfinder display and LC-display) and is really accurate. Since I am a notorious crooked camera-holder seems to me to this function very good.
I know that this does not even describe most of the functions, but refinements can be seen in a variety of tests on the internet.
-> Conclusion: The price is quite abundant, but you’ll get a very good camera. It is user-formed rooms and offers good picture quality. For absolute beginners this camera is not suitable. Although Switzerland has a fully automatic program, but the full functionality is not utilized it. As a newcomer, you should prefer to e-4xxx access or e-5xxx series.

Digital photography is still not quite as far as the analogue photography, and there are a number of reasons. One of them is certainly in the changed focal length, which leads to Canon EOS 10D to the fact that although over 60 EF lenses from the analog world fit mechanically, as is the powerful TTL flash units, but that this show digitally very different properties that Flashes partially not E-TTL capable, and that you are changing from an analog system, despite all his experience with equipment starts again at zero. But, and this is the other, positive side, as close as the EOS 10D now comes barely a device up to analogue photography, especially at this price. But if you want to actually have a true digital wide-angle photography, should be clear about the fact that the price for the housing and investment in a high-aperture ultra-wide angle lens like the Canon 15-35 (almost 2,000 euros) or the newly published 12-35 EX heard from Sigma (around 900 euros). Everything else is window dressing, who waived it, you can also just put up with a much cheaper digital bridge camera from the upper power take (eg Fuji FinePix S7000). But from the beginning.

Unlike most digital cameras Bridge (Bridge because they are almost as powerful as real SLR and therefore represent a bridge solution), Canon EOS 10D provides unmistakable differences. It starts with the rugged metal housing, which is excellent in the hand and hold itself because of its weight can be very quiet. Therefore, it is also quite heavy and very e.g. in the mountains just what kind of people with condition. Anyone, however, never could get used to the delayed release of digital cameras, will note with satisfaction that the EOS 10D is almost as fast as analog cameras – even if they show in the ambitious sports and action photography still clear limits. Because the objective is to move to the interior of the enclosure shall be protected especially against gathering dust – far more attention than in darkrooms needed so that nothing would settle on the sensitive CCD. By the way: who is rarely off-road, which is also with the much cheaper EOS 300D will be happy – the 10D is especially for photographers who want to take in terms of robustness and functionality, no compromise.
For a time there was fierce debate among experts, because some of the delivered 10D had difficulty with the proper focusing and with the autofocus. Canon established the lapidary was with “greater tolerance ranges for digital focus.” In this context, reports of trouble focusing in collaboration with some strange or even with Canon lenses. Where the error still occurs (more than half the photos taken is then blurred or wrongly focused), offers Canon recalibration consuming the entire camera including the lens at the plant. Was with me but not necessary. However, it is useful to keep from time to time to lookout for firmware updates, two are now, to bring tangible improvements, such as an optimized co-operation while saving on Microdrive hard drives.

Conclusion for the time being, Canon EOS 10D is, it provides them so you can dasss ausreizen fact their performance is still an expensive joke. The results of at least half depends on the quality of the lenses, and doubled the purchase smooth doubled. Also provides flash coverage is essential, and several batteries to change or the optional battery grip. Whether it’s worth, everyone must decide for themselves, because in a year or two SLR cameras will certainly still much more powerful – and until then is there more lenses that are already tailored to specific features of digital photography. Speed and efficiency interpolated especially in tricky lighting conditions (ISO1.600, up to 3,200!) And the clear operation of the EOS 10D to the serious amateur as well as open to be desired. When a professional should look like slightly different. But more people need to judge the merit of photography really their money.

A few weeks ago and I’m finally (switched) from an analog to digital SLR camera. Due largely positive experience with Pentax and a desire to want to use old lenses on, I have kept the brand and I’m looking for the Pentax * decided istDL. This I’ve not regretted a second: Everything is running smoothly, delivers a picture quality like never before and the camera and its features are an experienced amateur photographer familiar analog after a short familiarization period. The menu system is quite clearly not the design of overcharging. You can choose between automatic and motivational programs or even the old familiar part (-) manual settings (aperture priority, shutter priority and manual setting, etc.). The camera also works with old KA-/KAF-Objektiven close without problems (which include also a good firmware is). The aperture you use, however, no longer on the lens, but with a thumbwheel on the back of the camera body aperture ring itself (is permanently on “A” set). Some additional features include an exposure to 1/3-Schritten and an option to mirror lock-up during long exposure times.

Photography looks like they used to “wink” through the prism finder, made the trip until after the picture appears briefly on the rear panel, and can roughly be judged on its success. The storage medium is an SD memory card here (Warning: not for the delivery!). I recommend a high-speed card (eg Kingston elite pro, 256MB or greater) to avoid delays in image processing. The dubbing of the images on the PC is done with a supplied (with 1 m but relatively short!) USB cable and is very easy (if you know how it’s done . The included software allows the viewing and archiving of photos, but not editing – it needs to other programs!

The included with 18-55mm zoom lens (equivalent to one analogous focal length of about 28-80mm) with value and quality is a very useful standard features. The resolution of the camera from up to 6 Mexapixeln Although nominally not much by today’s standards (at the moment is talk of an alleged default in 8-10 MP for digital SLR) and that might even become the reason for the low price of under $ 500 be. I think the available resolution but more than enough, and not only that: It is in the preferences to choose between 1.5, 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. MP (as well as 3 levels of quality from * to ***) and I use default “only” 4 MP ( + ***), use the 6 MP therefore not out! Nevertheless, the results are impressively sharp and macro photographs, even in demanding high enough resolved for all PC desktop applications as well as photo prints up to at least A4 size. Why, then, more MP, only required if the space and makes for normal applications (except, perhaps, large format poster) no visible difference?

Conclusion: I enjoy taking pictures is fun again and I can recommend Pentax istDL SLR istDL with 18-55-zoom – just after the falls of recent months – only to buy!

I’ve done me Canon EOS 5D Mark II for Christmas. Contrary to all the criticism, I can report nothing but positive about the camera. The case is sturdy, easy to operate. The Quick-set in a display is the best I’ve ever seen. So you can change the monitor with a touch of a button all the important parameters simply by small joystick and dial. The supplied lens is very good. The light sensitivity is very good even in low-lit rooms, which is beneficial to the color reproduction. The lens is ideal for studio work. For outdoor activities, the focal length range from to 105, certainly not, but I did not expect it, because I allow the camera to use 90% for studio work. The display is huge, very good color reproduction and the images can also rotate the display. The Videofuktion is absolutely sufficient for me because I did not allow the camera gekaudt for movies, but this function is just a bonus for me. The quality is good for small films, and my son absolutely sufficient. Round, I am absolutely satisfied with the on Kamara and can only recommend to everyone. The camera is definitely in the professional sector at home and for me as an amateur photographer in the fetish area oversized. Nevertheless, I do not want to give this quality and opportunities.

I bought the camera from just under 2 weeks, mainly because of the promising series of image features and the relatively big sensor with only 6 MPixeln from whom I expected better quality pictures than today’s current “noise generators with 10 or more MPixeln on mini-sensors. But after the first pictures came in a bit of disappointment, they all seemed a bit “dull”. That’s why I zusammengeliehen me simply what I could get on the fly like it and have compared the F1 with different motives, sensitivities, focal lengths and exposures to the following cameras:

- Canon EOS350D (8 Mpixel, with Canon 70-300IS)
- Canon s5is (8 Mpixels, 12x zoom)
- Nikon S10 (6 megapixels, 10x zoom)
- Panansonic FZ3 (3 Mpixel, 12-fold zoom)
- Panansonic TZ2 (6 megapixels, 10x zoom)
- Panansonic TZ5 (9 megapixels, 10x zoom)

The result I was not expecting this:
Only the images of the Panasonic TZ2 were even worse than that of F1, even 4 years old Panasonic FZ3 with only 3 Mpixeln provided vivid and detailed images. By far the best images of mega-zoom cameras, the Canon delivered s5is (although not exactly famous for good pictures). The EOS350D plays (as expected) in a league of its own, with the price under lens including Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1 comes closest.

During video recording the F1 gave clearly the best results of all tested cameras that can be clearly better than Canon s5is (VGA) and Panasonic TZ5 (HD 1280 * 720) if only it was not because of the almost ineffective stabilizer, the de facto use enforces a tripod. For a current HD camcorder (Panasonic HDC-SD9) F1 but overall it looks pretty old.

Here are my subjective and certainly incomplete summary of the strengths and weaknesses of the F1:

Per:
- Burst mode is really sensational
- To switch on (even after firmware update to V1.02 is not really convincing legal) fast
- Good lens, relatively low distortion, low fringing
- Good operating concept
- Manual settings for all major imaging parameters, unfortunately (but not for noise reduction)
- Picture series with variation of different parameters possible
- Auto-ISO is limited to ISO 400
- Good battery life per charge, even with intensive use of the Burst
- Images in RAW format possible (eg to protect against the camera’s internal noise reduction)
- For a digital camera, good video results, acceptable compression artifacts, small file size with efficient MPEG4 codec

con:
- Very weak image stabilizer, resulting in long focal lengths without a tripod only limited available
- Are destroyed brutal noise reduction details, pictures, “soft-” (JPG)
- Very long storage time of a series of pictures (about 1 sec per image on class-6 SDHC card!), In this time is not the camera for operation. Non-breakable if erstmal started. Limits the usefulness of the camera for example at sporting events strongly a
- Auto focus assist light, despite problems in low Lichtverhaeltnissen
- Video modes by weak image stabilizer only limited use, again rather strong noise reduction, moderate tone. Overall results are still far from the quality of a current HD camcorder away
- Far too expensive for what is offered

My conclusion:
Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1 is the combination of an extremely average digital camera with an extremely average HD camcorder at an extremely self-conscious price, whose only real highlight of the Burst mode is really great that can be used to make Extremely high average images that make it to any other camera ever could. As a camcorder replacement, Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1 is good especially because of the bad image stabilizer does not.

Without the super-fast Burst there for less than half the price of a much better F1 mega-zoom cameras, or for a comparable price of a good DSLR with lens and corresponding to MAGNITUDE better results. And video friends get the same money for a much better HD camcorder.

My first SLR was a “Pentax ME super” (1980), my first good digital camera “Canon G10″ (2008) and my first digital SLR, the “Pentax K20D” (2009). Now I am satisfied and proud owner of the “Lumix GF1″ (2009). Caveat: the camera is so good that it is addictive. And not just because it is so small () matches with the 14-45mm zoom into the pocket. But she is not exactly a bargain

We know that the sensor size of the “displacement” of a camera. Where a lot of power under the hood, there are plenty in reserve. The Canon G10 “had already impressed me, however, the tiny sensor size of a compact camera of course has its limits in terms of light sensitivity, noise performance and depth. At ISO 200) should be slowly closing in the “Canon G10 ‘(ISO 400 at the” G11 “…

The sensor of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 is 5 times greater than that of the” Canon G10/G11 and slightly smaller than that of the DSLR ‘K20D Pentax (APS-C). As expected, one can make quite relaxed up to ISO 800 virtually noise-free pictures, only from ISO 1600, image noise (so that one begins to notice it). And depth is also not a problem, such as portraits with blurred background are, of course (with an open aperture, of course, is best). The SLR is feeling!

The speed of the autofocus is very good as opposed to “Olympus Pen”, which indeed is also available in the MFT (Micro Four Thirds) sector. Measured by the shutter lag is about 0.4 seconds including autofocus without AF even only 0.05 seconds (insanely fast) even for DSLR conditions. With three frames per second, it is as fast as the “Pentax K20D, but quietly charming. In the midst of a crowd, it all falls on not if you flash a picture series “fires”.

The picture quality is simply stunning: super-sharp, natural colors with rather less saturation, virtually no image noise until ISO 800 Demo images on richy Schley de. The guide number of 6 rather puny-sized pop-up flash goes through as a fill-in any event and makes absolutely no red eyes. Assembled “to correct” flashes on the hot shoe (for example, Metz, LZ 48) and work via the TTL (through the lens), together with the best GF1. The viewfinder (which I have not) might be of interest in strong sunlight, although the brilliant 3-inch display permits (460,000 pixels) very good image control. In manual focus the camera automatically switches to the lens, so you can see the finest details.

The operation is intuitive and easy OPERATIONS WERE CARRIED (unlike the maze-down menu of “Olympus PEN”). Beginners can turn on the “iA” mode and all settings (including ISO, leaving Weissabglich) the camera’s computer. With the uppermost rotary switch to switch to continuous shooting, exposure bracketing, and self-timer. With the “ISO button to quickly switch between different sensitivities to and fro. The Quick menu you can quickly select JPG, RAW or RAW + JPG and more.

For the manipulation of images in RAW format, the extensive and send software “SILKYPIX Developer SE” is available. It optimizes the picture, either automatically or manually. The results are convincing.

And then the HD videos! Simply great. On Youtube you will find so many demos … The mono microphone reminds you that you have a camera in hand and no camcorder. But the quality is also in full screen (1440 x 900 with me one way) to kneel down. You can zoom during filming, and either manually or via auto focus (works great!). For editing and cutting, I suppose, “Pinnacle Studio HD.

A special feature is the interchangeable lenses. You can use not only the MFT lenses from Olympus and Panasonic, but with adapters for many camera models and old treasures, even Zeiss lenses. So you can make on a camera market is a bargain and that Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 mount (of course) without autofocus and image stabilizer. The built-in kit zoom lens image stabilization allows for sharp handheld photos even at 1 / 5 seconds, not only at 28mm wide angle, but also in 90mm telephoto.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 (makes me at least) addictive because they’re so small, is so quiet and so powerful. An SLR camera in the format! For people who have the money remains absolutely recommended and a guarantor of happiness for demanding photographers who appreciate the compact size of a “Canon G10″ with the picture quality of an SLR.
