Canon PowerShot G11
I like to buy digital cameras, which I also use extensively. So I’ve decided after some back and forth to switch from G10 to G11. Before that I already had the G9. Since I have other current digital cameras call my own (and this year all have tested other possible) I think have a certain overview. The Canon G10, I have one year as a supplement used to SLR.
In my assessment, I would like to mention only the differences between the G11 and the G10, on the technical details, you can find out elsewhere, as there are of operation, reporting, etc. feel anything that was not the kind buyer already know.
The G11 has changed very little in the proportions of G10; crucial point is the swivel screen, which I had to get used to at first. Finally, it has become smaller at 2.8 “is a whole piece. Image quality: To my mind this has not really done much. I am not a professional and possess not a measurement laboratory. In a direct comparison between the G10 and G11, however, I could hardly account for differences. The new “low-light mode” in my eyes is pure gimmick. The pictures are with ISO 3200 or nothing, the observation must be limited to the size of the camera monitor. The branded improve image quality by using new noise filter and the new sensor is for me not even recognizable as desired. In low light conditions it is anyway advisable to work with a tripod and manual settings. In these settings, I also do not really need the latest super-chip that will give me maybe another aperture. Just a thought.
In the optical viewfinder continues to believe that the bottom left of the lens.
If I’m honest, the change from G10 to G11 has been worth very limited, and the flexibility gained through the swivel screen is great, but the image quality is not significantly better than the G10. Therefore accept the depreciation of the G10 is already steep. Since I bought the G11 and the dealer is not returnable, I would think seriously about it.
Now I publish this review after a few days of trial, so that the assessment here at amazon is not limited solely to the wishful thinking of a single person but it is also time to read a test based on own opinion.
